Reducing CO₂e emissions is a critical goal for all of us. The first step is understanding your actual emissions. That’s why Kuehne+Nagel provides emission reports for transport services booked with us. For air and sea freight shipments, this data has also been available on myKN.
We are excited to inform you that as of September 3rd, 2024, this data also becomes available on myKN for road freight shipments.*

Updated emission calculation method
Our emission data has always aligned with the most robust international carbon emission calculation standards and utilised the best available data. As such standards evolve and actual flight data are now available, we have recently updated our emission calculation methodology accordingly in line with ISO 14083 and GLEC 3.0.
The updated numbers are reflected in the emission reports available to you via myKN, including myKN Track 'Shipment' and myKN Analytics (Reports and Dashboards). They retroactively apply to air logistics shipments from January 1st, 2024. The update for sea logistics shipments will be implemented in autumn this year.
What’s in it for you?
You continue to have access to qualitative emission data for your shipments. On top, you can now easily retrieve CO₂e data for all current and future road freight shipments, as well as for shipments dating back to January 2024.
Where can you find the data?
Log in to your myKN account. You will find the data under myKN Track 'Shipment' and under myKN Analytics (Reports and Dashboards).

*Please note that this is not yet available for road shipments in USA, Canada and Mexico. If you use low-emission road freight solutions (Book and Claim, HVO or electric vehicles), the emission savings need to be subtracted manually for the time being. Also temperature-controlled shipments require manual recalculations until further notice.
